Family Fishing Day

Rice Lake in the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve

The Seymour Salmonid Society in partnership with Metro Vancouver, will be hosting our annual Family Fishing Day event at Rice Lake in the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve. The event is part of BC’s Family Fishing Weekend promoted by the Family Fishing Society of BC and coincides with Father’s Day. We encourage families to come along and participate in the various activities:

	Fish license-free at Rice Lake (fishing tackle is available to use)
	Learn about ethical fishing techniques
	Release rainbow trout into Rice Lake
	Enjoy our wild salmon barbeque
	Talk to community organizations and other exhibitors
	Win some great prizes in our prize draws

The event will be held at the top of Lilloet Road by Rice Lake Gate and also at Rice Lake itself. It will run from 10am until around 3pm. Parking will be available in the Rice lake car park at the top of Lilloet Road. Parking wardens will be there to direct people. You can also park at the top of Lynn Valley road or catch a bus to there and walk across Lynn Canyon to the event.
