The hatchery is located ¼ Kilometer below the Seymour Falls Dam in the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve. Travel north over Second Narrows (Iron Workers Memorial Bridge and take exit #22.  Go straight through the first set of lights you come to. You are now on Lillooet Road and going up a hill. Stay on Lillooet Road and drive past Capilano College and the cemetery.   Soon the paved road will turn to a good gravel road. The gravel road continues for 3km and takes you to Rice Lake gate.

Driving up.
Normally the public is not allowed to drive their cars past Rice Lake Gate but volunteers can make arrangements with the hatchery so they can drive up. Here's how. Driving up is easy to arrange. Call the hatchery at 604.640.9690 and say that you want to come up to volunteer.  The person you talk to at the hatchery will then phone the guard at Rice Lake Gate and will let them know you'll be coming up.  It's just that easy.
